Socrates apparently said "The unexamined life is not worth living" and though that's rather harsh, it does have it's merits.

Coaching works because of the way the brain processes questions. It's not physically possible for you to ask yourself a question and then answer it because the brain processes these things one at a time (serially).
So when I ask questions as a coach, you are able to concentrate 100% on the answer. Not something that we often get the luxury of doing.
